Title: The end of play. The disappearance of the free play and its effects on children's wellbeing
Abstract: The disappearance of childhood and the adultification of play are two issues that are occurring in the modern societies, with negative effects on children's well-being. The paper seeks to systematize the scientific literature concerning these themes and to propose a possible classification for the different types of play. A proposal for a cultural and social change is also presented by taking into account the key role of the school in this area.
